Goods sliding in transport and damage to the bottom layers of products from splinters or moisture from wooden pallets are everyday problems in many warehouses. At KAHAPE, we design solutions that eliminate these problems. Our film layer pads (also known as tier sheets) and rubber anti-slip mats stabilise the load, separate the layers and create a protective barrier exactly where it is needed.

Technical specification: two product variants
Film layer pads and rubber anti-slip mats are two separate materials with different functions. Below are the parameters of each; we choose the variant together, based on the weight and nature of the load.

Film layer pads
Indispensable for protecting the top layer (top sheet) and the bottom layer of the pallet.
Base materials
Durable LDPE film, bubble film or sustainable recyclate (recycled film).
Size and thickness
Thicknesses from 30 to 200 microns (µm). Any length and width, up to 8,000 mm. Custom-cut shapes up to 1,500 × 1,500 mm and round layer pads.
Supply format
Ergonomic perforated rolls for easy tearing, or ready-cut single sheets in bulk cartons.
Eco Standard
100% European raw materials, recyclable, PPWR compliant.

Anti-slip mats
Where ordinary film is not enough. In heavy industry, they separate layers of heavy products and prevent friction and shifting.
Custom shapes
Any shape, including round mats and special pads with technical cut-outs for drums, pipes and machine parts.
Dimensions
Pieces up to 1,500 mm in diameter.
Thicknesses
Mats 3, 6, 8 or 10 mm thick, chosen to suit the load weight.

Layer pad or anti-slip mat?
Four situations in which the material is chosen differently. We use anti-slip mats for heavy loads that tend to shift, and film layer pads as a barrier and to separate layers.

LDPE layer pads
A protective layer against dust and ground moisture, for separating products. Most common use: top sheet under stretch film.

A sustainable variant with recycled raw material. A lower carbon footprint.

When should I choose a film layer pad and when an anti-slip mat?
LDPE film layer pads are mainly used as a protective layer against dust and ground moisture and to separate products. We recommend rubber anti-slip mats for heavy loads that tend to shift or need extra cushioning and anti-slip properties.
Can I order layer pads in non-standard shapes, e.g. with cut-outs?
Yes. As part of our Custom Packaging service, we cut film and rubber pieces in any shape, including with technical cut-outs. The maximum diameter of round pieces is 1,500 mm.
How do layer pads affect the logistics process?
Layer pads reduce the risk of contamination, protect goods from moisture and damage from the pallet side, and secure the top layer during storage. Versions on perforated rolls also make warehouse work easier and speed up sheet picking.
Do you produce small runs of custom-cut pieces?
Yes. We produce large runs for logistics centres as well as smaller batches for manufacturing plants. Whatever the order size, we ensure the European origin of our raw materials and compliance with PPWR.
